Boston By Night
Saint Elizabeth's Hospital
There are many hospitals in the Boston area, and a hospital is an extremely useful place for vampires — a legitimate and endless supply of blood is very handy, particularly when much of the clientele are drunken college kids who don’t remember half the night anyway. This makes St. Elizabeth’s is a highly valuable location politically, which has affected the large hospital’s ownership in the world of mortal finance.
The latest owners are a for-profit group called Steward. Steward is run by Ralph de la Torre, the local Ventrue Primogen and a businessman of high repute in the region. There is no coincidence in his long-term plans to create a company and purchase this hospital: St. Elizabeth’s is a hotbed of youthful patients from the surrounding college community, keeping the blood banks there immensely full. It is a tactically critical location and Steward, being owned by the Ventrue primogen, did not come into possession of this hospital by accident, and the move has strained relations between the Ventrue and the ruling Giovanni Prince, while strengthening Ventrue resources throughout the region.
